No one could predict paintball would grow so much. What at first started as a hobby back in the eighties, now has become a rapidly growing sport that attracts people from all ages and walks of life. This reflects also in the way matches are seen. At first the spectators were required to use masks and gear, but now the number of spectators is multiplied, and so the risk of injuries. That’s why netting is used nowadays.

Paintball netting was created with the spectator in mind. If you know about this sport, then you know how much damage a paintball can inflict if it falls on your head or eyes, or any part that is unprotected! A well installed netting, will avoid all that while letting everyone enjoy a good match from the outside.

What about Outlaw paintball fields?

Outlaw paintball fields are not required to install netting around the course. Suffice to say, it doesn’t bring the necessary safety to enjoy these kind of games, so if you are watching a game in these kind of fields, I heavily recommend that you use all your protective gear as if you were playing.

If you own an outlaw field, you can also purchase and install your own netting. I recommend this specially if there are lots of people coming to your field. Netting is ordered by square foot, and can be a great investment because of the higher safety you provide.

Using netting is great for paintball, it helps it stay away from the shadow of being a violent and dangerous sport. It can reduce a lot the injuries in spectators to a percentage even lower than tennis! Find more paintball tips.
